Housing \ Residential Conversion of Westerlea House and Residential Development within the grounds

Cala Homes asked us to develop designs for this substantial property in the Murrayfield area of Edinburgh as part of a bid to buy the site. A substantial mature garden already existed and we formed an idea for a three-sided garden court  which extended its access via a path across the whole landscape. The court consisted of town houses with gardens on either wing of the court and apartments on the central section culminating in a penthouse placed on the axis of symmetry. In addition three substantial walled gardens houses were proposed to the west of the main house. The bid was unsuccessful.
